A generational shift in climate anxiety, across print and digital
This was my first-ever published print piece and the first time I've translated a story across mediums. As much as I love pushing pixels, I appreciate the comfort and certainty print design affords. I certainly got a kick out of throwing the negative space in the charts over the gutter.
The print deadline came first and was followed quickly by the interactive, both tight turnarounds. The interactive walks through each chart in a more step-by-step manner using standard Shorthand features. The story, overall, was a feature of the March 2021 edition of Stuff's Forever Project climate magazine.
